Egg-cellent adventures await
New for Easter 2022, we have the perfect Easter activity for the whole family - our biggest ever Easter Egg Hunt! With 50 eggs hidden far and wide across the estates, you’ll need to search high and low to find them all. From the depths of the nature reserve and wider heathlands, to the lakes and the villages, we’re encouraging you to get active on your Easter break.
To enter, head over to the team at our Activity Hub. Entries cost £4 each and include your Easter trail map and a small Easter gift. The team have been busy hiding the brightly coloured eggs, so follow the Easter trail marked on your map, keeping your eyes peeled high up in the trees and low on the ground. Will you be crowned our Easter champion and take home the prize? To be in with the chance of winning a luxury bug hotel and a delicious chocolate hamper, you’ll need to keep a record of the eggs you find and return your completed map back to the Activity Hub.
Grab your wellies, jump on a bike or head out on the lakes. Soak up the fresh country air, while scouring acres of our beautiful estates. Seek out the variety of amazing wildlife that enjoy our habitats, while you explore the lakes, spending time together as a family. Take a break to refuel and visit Ballihoo or the Hurricane Terrace – there might even be an egg to find while you are there (Hint hint).
Immerse yourself in nature
Make the most of the beautiful spring sunshine and pre-order one of our delicious picnic boxes to enjoy at one of the many beautiful spots within the nature reserve. Take in spectacular views across the lakes, observing the local wildlife. Hampers will be made up of a selection of scrumptious picnic foods, including sausage rolls, seasonal dishes and a variety of sweet treats. Available at both our estates priced at £35 per hamper, based on two people sharing (additional portions can be added for £10 per child, £17.50 per adult).
Egg-quisite dining
If you’re spending your Easter break at Lower Mill this April, Ballihoo will be offering a selection of delicious seasonal dishes, including their ever-popular Easter lunch kit. Available to pre-order now, each lunch contains locally sourced Cotswold Spring Lamb and all the trimmings. With ready-to-roast potatoes with thyme, rosemary and garlic, carrots, spring greens, homemade gravy and Ballihoo’s allotment mint sauce, it’s a real Easter showstopper, perfect for your Easter Sunday lunch. Each kit has been designed for a family of four to enjoy, priced at £59 (additional portions can be added for £10 per person).
Step into nature at Silverlake
We are excited to be welcoming our nature ambassador, Lucy Lapwing to Silverlake this Easter. A self-confessed ‘nature nerd’ and conservationist, Lucy was recently featured on BBC Winter Watch and will be hosting some unique adventures during her stay. Step into nature and join Lucy to identify some of the species that enjoy our thriving habitat. Will you choose to make a parabolic bird amplifier to identify birdsong, or will you roam amidst the heathland and woodland on a special bug hunt?
