From the entryway, pass through the inviting double doors, and be greeted by a spacious and light open plan living area with glass windows and doors that span the entire length of the house. An impressively long dining table, perfect for hosting gatherings of up to 12 guests, sits under a full height central atrium awash with natural light. 

Adjoining the dining area, you will find a sleek kitchen with granite worktops is a culinary haven. The kitchen houses plenty of bin options for the eco conscious recycler and features high quality appliances such as a double oven, integrated full-sized fridge and dishwasher, induction cooktop, coffee machine, and a convenient Quooker hot water tap. Whether opting for a hot brew from the tap or preferring a good old-fashioned ‘cuppa’ made from a kettle, this kitchen is abundantly stocked for all your entertaining and culinary requirements. 

Off the kitchen you will find a utility room, offering easy access back through into the main entry hall. A handy space when catering for large groups, this room is fully equipped with a separate washing machine and dryer, additional fridge freezer, microwave and extra bench space. 

Completing the ground floor experience is an inviting and cosy lounge area, where conversation flows effortlessly, and entertainment thrives. With a TV, Blu-ray DVD player (feel free to bring your favourite DVDs), sound bar and a wood burner the heart of this space, evenings here are destined to be cherished. 

Timber look tiles grace the entire ground floor, while tasteful décor and wall art depicting the Cotswolds' and its natural surrounds add a touch of thoughtful sophistication to the ambiance. 
Outside Stepping outside through the large glass sliding doors, you’ll be enchanted by the vast deck that traps the evening sun. An outdoor lounge, dining table and gas BBQ, sets the stage for al -fresco moments to cherish with loved ones. Surrounded by the natural beauty of the property’s private garden, another dining table nestled beneath the foliage of the trees offers a serene spot to escape the sun’s rays. 

Prepare to be mesmerised as you take in the captivating south-facing lake views stretching across the neighbouring lawn to Somerford Lagoon. Although this property does not provide direct lake access, ‘Butterfly Sound’ is truly a special place for gatherings, entertainment, and pure relaxation. 

Butterfly Sound is pet friendly but guests are asked to keep dogs on a lead when in the garden and not to allow them to cross in to the neighbours garden. 

First Floor 


Ascend the carpeted stairs from the entry hall to the first floor where the first level of sleeping and bathing serenity awaits – all with good storage and wardrobe options to help you really settle in during your stay. 

To your right, you’ll discover a tastefully decorated bunk bedroom with pull out trundle bed underneath, ( set up on request) adorned with bright artwork, colourful drawers, and a bookshelf housing a small collection of children's stories, along with space to also bring your children's own favourite books. 

If alternative bed configurations are not requested at the time of booking or at least one week before arrival, an additional charge may be applied to recall Housekeeping to make the adjustments

Continuing on this floor, you’ll encounter a twin bedroom – a tranquil space that offers stunning nature and lake views. The sliding glass door opens onto the first-floor deck, where comfortable seating awaits to soak in the breathtaking vistas. 

A family bathroom, complete with a shower over bath, caters to the needs of guests with simplicity and ease. 

And as you explore the left side of the landing, a generously proportioned king bedroom awaits, complete with a dressing area, featuring built-in robes, a chest of drawers, and a writing desk – a perfect space to pen heartfelt postcards and cherish the moments spent at ‘Butterfly Sound.’ This room also opens out onto the first-floor deck to share in the stunning lake views. The convenience of the en-suite shower room ensures every moment in this sanctuary is cherished. 


 Second Floor 


Continuing your ascent up the stairs to the top floor where a glass roof over the landing creates a bright and peaceful space complete with a writing desk and bookshelves filled with holiday reads. 

To the right, a well-appointed family bathroom beckons, offering a separate bath and a large walk-in shower – a true haven for rejuvenation. 

Further to the left of the landing, a charming loft twin bedroom awaits – a cosy retreat adorned with thoughtful storage to create a serene escape. 

The final bedroom to the left of the landing is a spacious loft double bedroom offering a wardrobe, dressing area, and a writing desk.

Estate Rules   

  • Quiet hours are observed after 11pm, we aim to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents and guests. 
  • Hen and stag parties, including any related activities, are not allowed on the estate premises
  • Work related stays for any purpose are not permitted on the estate

House Rule

  • This property is pet friendly but guests are required to keep their dog on a lead when in the garden.
  • All our properties are non-smoking.
  • Upon departure, kindly ensure that the premises are left in a clean and orderly manner, with all furniture returned to its original position and rubbish removed. There are bin stores located around the estate.
  • A £500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this.
  • Please utilise the one parking space provided at the property. Additional parking is available at the main car park if needed. Please do not park in the bays assigned to other properties.
  • There is a rope boundary at the rear of the garden. Access beyond this boundary is prohibited as belongs to a private resident and would be trespassing on their land.
