Description

Situated on the banks of Somerford Lagoon, the property boasts far-reaching views across the water and benefits from direct lakeside access for canoeing or kayaking. Ground floor decking is accessed from both the living area and dining area, outdoor garden furniture provides stunning views across the lagoon.

Ground Floor

The open-plan kitchen provides plenty of space for preparing and serving meals, complete with five ring gas hob and electric oven, integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washer/dryer.

The dining area faces out over the banks of the lake and comfortably sits 10.

The remainder of the ground floor is taken up with a selection of sofa and armchair seating providing plenty of space for family and friends to catch up and relax. There is a TV complete with a DVD player. The outstanding feature of this house is the atrium which is positioned around the middle of the house, providing plenty of light and a double-height ceiling that continues through the first and second floors. The downstairs living areas face out of the lake with a number of floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, providing open views of the lake and plenty of al fresco dining.

First Floor

The master en-suite bedroom is located on the first floor and provides access to the balcony overlooking the lake. There is a second double bedroom with balcony access and the third bedroom is a bunk bedroom. There is a family bathroom on this floor.

Second Floor

On this top floor, you will find a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a family bathroom.

House & Estate Rules:   


  • Quiet hours are observed after 11pm, we aim to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents and guests. 
  • Hen and stag parties, including any related activities, are not allowed on the estate premises
  • Work related stays for any purpose are not permitted on the estate
  • All our properties are non-smoking.
  • Upon departure, kindly ensure that the premises are left in a clean and orderly manner, with all furniture returned to its original position and rubbish removed. There are bin stores located around the estate.
  • A £500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this.
  • Please utilise the one parking space provided at the property. Additional parking is available at the main car park if needed. Please do not park in the bays assigned to other properties.

    Shame to see lakes closed on our visit this year and limited walks due to flooding.

    The indoor and outdoor pools were excellent, enjoyed the Katacanoe experience. Tennis, football and playpark great for the kids. The bar was expensive (we thought) and the service was slow. Gret facility.

    We stayed here in December so not much on but didn’t mind as it was a lovely weekend get together to celebrate a family birthday. Enjoyed walking round the estate and a late breakfast in the restaurant which was very friendly with excellent service.

    A perfect stay for our annual extended family "jolly". The house is wonderful and easily accommodated our family members. Having the lake on the back doorstep was heaven and provided easy access for canoes/paddle boards. The kitchen is well equipped and provided for our every need. It was sometimes difficult to access the spa indoor pool as it quickly reached capacity; however, the outdoor heated pool was always available. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Keel House and hope to be back again one day.
