This beautiful, pet friendly, home encapsulates the charm of Silverlake, with direct lake access and beautiful views. This sumptuous property offers outstanding interiors and an abundance of space for up to 12 guests. Its large outdoor kitchen and hot tub, boosting stunning lakeside views will see your family enjoying quality time together in the great outdoors. Due to the bedroom configuration, we recommend a maximum of 8 adults and 4 children. Please see the accommodation section for more information.
A spacious and bright entrance hall, with a feature staircase, is flooded with light from the window on the first-floor landing which leads to a generous open-plan living room that benefits from floor-to-ceiling windows providing a panoramic lakeside vista. Equipped with a log burner, for those cosy winter nights in and large sofas and dining table with seating for twelve; this property offers ample family space for relaxing and dining, complemented by a contemporary well-fitted kitchen. For those wishing to unwind and watch a film, there is a separate TV room snug with comfy seating and a cupboard full of board games. On the ground floor, you will also find a W/C and utility room.
The top floor boasts a stunning feature king-sized bedroom with ensuite bath/shower room and private balcony. There is another double room with en-suite and own balcony to the front of the house, a bunk bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (top bunks suitable for children only), a twin room with study area and another double bedroom with ensuite. Three bedrooms enjoy lakeside views from the rear balcony. There is also a family bathroom with separate bath and shower and his and hers sinks.
The expansive exterior of the property houses outdoor furniture, table and chairs, charcoal BBQ, wood-burning pizza oven and gas BBQ. The sunken hot tub is a particularly appealing feature!
House & Estate Rules:
- Quiet hours are observed after 11pm, we aim to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents and guests.
- Hen and stag parties, including any related activities, are not allowed on the estate premises
- Work related stays for any purpose are not permitted on the estate
- All our properties are non-smoking.
- Upon departure, kindly ensure that the premises are left in a clean and orderly manner, with all furniture returned to its original position and rubbish removed. There are bin stores located around the estate.
- A £500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this. If you have booked via Airbnb, you do not need to pay the security deposit directly to Habitat Escapes as any damages to the property are raised through Airbnb's reimbursement portal.
- Please utilise the one parking space provided at the property. Additional parking is available at the main car park if needed. Please do not park in the bays assigned to other properties.
- This property is not pet friendly.

The staff in charge of bike/ kayak rentals were brilliant -super friendly and kind. Also the gardeners and maintenance staff were also friendly and welcoming. It is clear that staff really enjoy working on the estate and feel valued. My only complaint was issues with the hot tub. Every evening we had issues with it -every evening we reported the issues -yet the same issues kept returning with the temperature cold every evening. Considering that we specifically sought a property with a hot tub this was really disappointing. Even more so was the fact that on the Friday -check out was at 10am so we should have had use of the hot tub until ten am -instead a maintenance worker came around 830 and the tub was completely emptied well before check out time. I hope that this is not normal service -reading the reviews on Silverlake it seems that a few other renters also had complaints about the hot tubs. The hot tub also should be hot at 4pm on the day it is rented - it should not take 24 hours to reach peak temperature- especially for weekend lets - having rented a number of properties with hot tubs this is not common practice.

We enjoyed our stay, though some shade over the outside table and seating area would have been appreciated. For 10 adults we really needed more glasses and mugs and the occasional clean under sofas would not go amiss. But generally the house was clean and well equipped and there was a good amount of space, especially with the snug. Hot tub was lovely and checked/cleaned regularly and good outside space. We had some lovely walks around the estate and the outdoor pool was great - would be nice if it were heated to 30 degrees for little people. We appreciated the care for the habitat and wildlife and liked the ethos of the place.

We took our own paddle boards, but enjoyed an afternoon on mountain bikes borrowed from the activity hub, along with trips to the new volleyball / games area at the hurricane pop up, and the swimming pool. The nature walk was very informative and relaxed and a great way to start our holiday.
