Overview
Jema commands a westerly facing aspect over the adjoining nature lake, Swillbrook Lake with stunning open views which can be enjoyed from the second and third floor external balconies.


Returning to our portfolio for 2024, Jema is located in an exclusive area within Lower Mill Estate called Orchid Village, being part of just nine individually built properties accessed via a private gate offering designated parking. Jema has two twins, two doubles (one with en-suite), and one bunk room as well as spacious open plan living areas and a large family cinema room.

Ground Floor
The front door to the entrance vestibule provides coat hanging, seating, and storage. Utility room with shower cubicle, WC, washing machine, and tumble dryer.

To the rear of the property, there is one lakeside Twin bedroom and one lakeside king bedroom, both with a sliding door onto the ground floor terrace. Completing the three ground floor bedrooms is a further Twin Bedroom. 

All three bedrooms have access to the spacious family bathroom comprising a bath with a hand-held shower attachment, WC, wash hand basin, and separate shower cubicle.

First Floor 
Here you will find the spacious master bedroom with direct access to a balcony that enjoys stunning westerly views across the nature conservation lake. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower cubicle, a bath with a handheld shower attachment, WC, and a wash hand basin.

The second bedroom on the first floor is a bunk bedroom.

You also have a family bathroom comprising a bath with handheld shower attachment, WC, and wash hand basin.

To top this floor off you have a large family cinema room with sofa, projector tv, and selection of children’s games and toys.

Second Floor
On the top floor, you will find a spacious open living area comprising a fully equipped kitchen with a single oven, built-in microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and Nespresso machine, which takes Vartua capsules. Good range of wall and base cupboard units, separate larder cupboard. 

This living area comes with a dining area with a table and chairs to seat 10. Balcony doors lead to the second-floor balcony with an outdoor table and chairs for dining for 8 guests and views to the front of the property.

The lounge area comes with wood a burning stove perfect for the winter months, doors leading to a westerly facing balcony benefiting from stunning views across Somerford Lagoon. There is seating for 6 in the form of occasional chairs.

Outside
Jema is located within a private gated area of just nine houses providing secure allocated parking. A small garden area can be found to the rear of the property and Jema benefits from westerly views across the adjoining nature conservation lake from its first and second-floor balconies.

Not all properties have direct lake access even though they are listed as lakeside. If you are unsure whether this property has lake access please check with our team.

Please be aware that the vegetation surrounding the property is subject to change according to the time of year. This may mean that the views represented in the photos above may vary depending on the season in which you stay with us.

Normal check-in is from 4 pm. Out of peak season, early check-in of 2 pm may be available (at an additional fee). Please contact our office team to enquire.

Check out during off-peak dates is by 10 am on the day of departure. During peak dates (school holidays) check out is at 9 am.

£500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this.

Travel cot and highchair are available for £10, subject to availability. Please advise at the time of booking. Guests to provide their own linen and mattress for the travel cot.

There is a strict 11 pm noise curfew on the estate.

There are 3 electric vehicle charging points on the estate that operate on a first come first use basis.

All our properties are non-smoking.

 

Seasonal Closures

Somerford Lagoon Lake is closed from October – March due to nesting birds. The nearest canoe launch point is located near Mill Village as marked on the Estate Map.

The Miss Mouse Trail, run by the activity hub closes for the winter months. This is from 1st November to the Easter holidays.

Finding your Property
From the Main Entrance where the security hut is positioned, drive through the gate and bear left, drive through the car park ahead and exit right when you get to a four-way crossroads for Clearwater and Howell's Mere properties.

Continue forward over the bridge taking the immediate right towards Howells Mere and Clearwater properties. Continue along this road and you will get to a point where the road splits off either left or right. Bear left and continue along the road passing the Spa and Tennis courts on your right and houses on your left. At the end of this road, you will see a bridge in front of you. Cross over this bridge into Howell's Mere and turn right through a couple of wooden gates. Keep following the road straight along to the end until it starts to bend left. Just before this point, you will see a big metal gate on your right-hand side with a keypad in front of it. The area behind this gate is Orchid Village. Seven days prior to your arrival you will receive an email with this gate code. Your parking spot is right in front of the house also numbered 68.

To assist you during darker evenings, you would be advised to bring a torch with you as there is no street lighting permitted on the Estate other than low-level lighting.
