The Cotswold Light House is a four-bedroom property nestled on the edge of Minety Lake, perfect for a luxurious getaway. This beautifully designed home accommodates up to 8 guests, offering an exceptional blend of style and comfort. The homeowners have furnished the property to a high standard.

The property benefits from direct lake access, perfect for those that wish to take to the water. 

Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or a base to explore the charming Cotswolds, the Cotswold Light House provides an ideal setting with its elegant interiors and idyllic surroundings.

Minety Lake is the newest addition to Lower Mill and Habitat Escapes! As such, there are still properties and areas around the lake and wider estate that are undergoing final elements of construction, so whilst this property is fully completed, you will see construction, machinery, and workers around the property between 0730 and 1800, Monday to Friday and 0800 to 1300, Saturday.  Please abide by any signage relating to construction areas. Please review the above images to make sure you are aware of the surrounding construction of The Cotswold Light House prior to booking. Ground Floor

The Cotswold Light House is one of the few properties at Lower Mill to benefit from having a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and lounge all on the ground floor. The bedroom has a beautiful wooden double bed and is equipped with a smart TV allowing you to log into your own Netflix, Prime and Disney accounts. With a built-in wardrobe, there is also plenty of room to store your belongings. Just across the corridor is the downstairs bathroom, with a walk-in shower and a toilet. 

There is a utility room with additional storage space for your belongings and here you will find a washing machine and tumble dryer in case you need them during your stay with us. The freezer can be found here in the utility room freeing up cupboard space in the kitchen. 

To complete the ground floor is a fantastic open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area. The dining table seats 8 and as a bonus there is also a beautifully designed kitchen island with two bar stools and an induction hob. The kitchen itself is kitted out with a Miele oven, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge. There are all the appliances and utensils needed for you to make the most of this self-catered accommodation and there is the bonus of a Siemens wine fridge.

The lounge has two lovely leather sofas and a couple of bean bags that are great for children. There is a large smart TV that you will be able to log into your own streaming accounts such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney. There is a log burner perfect for lighting in the winter months to make the lounge feel even cosier.   

First Floor

Here you will find the other three bedrooms at The Cotswold Light House all kitted out with lovely wooden beds and side tables. All four bedrooms have their own built-in wardrobes. 

Starting with the master bedroom you will have your own ensuite shower room. The high ceiling in the master bedroom gives you a very spacious and light feel to this double bedroom.

The third bedroom is also a double bedroom, and the final bedroom is a bunk bedroom which is perfect for two children. 

Outside

To the back of the property is a decking area complete with a gas BBQ, corner sofa and coffee table. One of the best features of this property is the outdoor coffee table which has a built-in gas fireplace providing a great setting to relax in during the evenings. 

Estate Rules   

  • Quiet hours are observed after 11pm, we aim to maintain a peaceful and respectful environment for all residents and guests. 
  • Hen and stag parties, including any related activities, are not allowed on the estate premises
  • Work related stays for any purpose are not permitted on the estate

House Rules

  • All our properties are non-smoking.
  • Upon departure, kindly ensure that the premises are left in a clean and orderly manner, with all furniture returned to its original position and rubbish removed. There are bin stores located around the estate.
  • A £500 refundable damage deposit is due the week before your arrival. You will be contacted regarding this.
  • The driveway can accommodate up to three cars. Additional parking is available at the main car park if needed. Please do not park in the bays assigned to other properties.
  • This property is not pet friendly.

Please be aware that the vegetation surrounding the property is subject to change according to the time of year. This may mean that the views represented in the photos above may vary depending on the season in which you stay with us.

Normal check-in is from 4 pm. Out of peak season, early check-in of 2 pm may be available (at an additional fee). Please contact our office team to enquire.

Check-out during off-peak dates is by 10 am on the day of departure. During peak dates (school holidays) check-out is at 9 am.

Travel cot and highchair are available for £10, subject to availability. Please advise at the time of booking. Guests to provide their own linen and mattress for the travel cot.

There are 3 electric vehicle charging points on the estate that operate on a first come first use basis.

 

Seasonal Closures

Somerford Lagoon Lake is closed from October – March due to nesting birds. The nearest canoe launch point is located near Mill Village as marked on the Estate Map.

The Miss Mouse Trail, run by the activity hub closes for the winter months. This is from 1st November to the Easter holidays.

Finding your Property
From the main entrance where the security hut is positioned, drive through the gates and cross the first bridge. Take the first right turn you reach and go over the next two bridges in front of you. Just after the second bridge, the road will split off left and right. Please take the road on the left through the car park area and continue straight, ignoring the next left-hand turn. Just past this turn, you will see the back of the Spa also on your left-hand side. Continue on, keeping the spa on your left-hand side and then the Ballihoo restaurant also on your left. On your right-hand side, you will see properties, follow these along with the numbers on the properties until you get to Minety Lake 5 on your right-hand side on the corner. Just past Minety Lake 5 is a right turn that you need to take. Your property Minety Lake 63 is just a little way down the road from Minety Lake 1 on your right-hand side. 

To assist you during darker evenings, you would be advised to bring a torch with you as there is no street lighting permitted on the Estate other than low-level lighting.
