How to make your holiday with Habitat Escapes even more sustainable

...

If you’ve holidayed with us at Habitat Escapes before, you’ll know that we work hard to make your holiday as ethical as possible. From the moment you arrive at Silverlake in Dorset or Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswolds, the estates are teeming with wildlife, thanks to the hard work of our ecology and grounds teams. Your sustainably built holiday cottage is surrounded by hundreds of acres of nature reserve and all activities such as paddle boarding and cycling are designed to have minimal impact on the environment.

We are now proud to announce that we have teamed up with Play it Green, a sustainability organisation that helps businesses to plant trees and gift funds to local environmental charities.

By choosing to holiday in the UK, you are already taking great steps towards reducing your carbon footprint and with our Climate Positive Booking option, you can now offset your journey to and from our estates. By choosing this option at the time of booking, you will be able to plant six new trees for a £3 donation and re-gift thirty pence to an environmental charity local to the estate on which you are staying.

Your trees will be planted in Madagascar which has been ravaged by deforestation, are protected long term and cared for by local people who gain employment. It’s a great solution to support a fragile ecosystem and economy whilst ensuring that there are more trees feeding the lungs of our planet.
