Drake's Nest is a stylish lake-side property that sleeps a maximum of 12. With glamorous décor and a hot tub, it is the perfect property for relaxing after a day exploring the Dorset countryside.

 

Drake's Nest is a stylish lakeside property that sleeps a maximum of 12 (including a sofa bed). We recommend that the property is suitable for a maximum of 10 adults and 2 children owing to the sleeping configurations.  

Drake's nest is a stunning contemporary lakeside property with it's own jetty for lake access, a hot tub and versatile accommodation for up to 12 guests (including the use of a sofa bed).

Access to the Hurricane Terrace bar, heated outdoor pool and activity equipment is included with this property, offering plenty to do while staying at Silverlake, Dorset.  Inclusive equipment hire includes bikes and water equipment such as paddleboards, kayaks and canoes, subject to availability.  

Also on site is a luxury spa offering a variety of holistic and beauty treatments and a takeaway pizza shack offering pizza and tapas.  Opening hours can vary for both depending on the season.    

Please note that there are properties on the estate undergoing construction in various phases. Bookings for this property are made on the understanding that you may see and hear construction, machinery and workers from 0730 to 1800, Monday to Friday and 0800 to 1300 on Saturdays.  Please do abide by any signage relating to construction areas. The versatile accommodation in this contemporary home provides space for 10-12 guests. On the ground floor is a bunk room that sleeps four (top bunks suitable for children only), a king-size bedroom with en-suite, and a sofa bed in the ground floor living area. Completing the downstairs accommodation is the family bathroom (bath with shower over).

On the first floor is a second living area with a log burner for cosy nights in, a fully fitted kitchen and a large balcony. Completing the first floor is a king-size bedroom with a separate shower room and WC.

The second floor provides a further super-king room with zip and link beds and a large en-suite shower room. The super-king room can be split into two single beds if required (please advise at time of booking).

As we take pride in fully preparing each hot tub for every each guest stay, please note that the water may not be up to temperature by the time you arrive on site, but rest assured, that the water will be blissfully warm and enjoyable within 24 hours of your arrival on-site.

 

Check in is from 4pm. Check out at 10am.

The property is self-catered. The house is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery. A complimentary welcome pack that includes locally produced jam, teabags, hot chocolate sachets, coffee, sugar, biscuits and a pint of milk will be provided for your arrival as will a starter kitchen pack including a bin liner, dishwasher tablets, a teatowel, sponge and washing up liquid.  One toilet roll per bathroom is also provided to ensure you are equipped on your first day.

Bed linen, hand and bath towels are also provided. If you suffer from allergies please contact the office for further information.

The property has a BBQ with gas provided.

A travel cot and highchair are available, please advise at the time of booking. Guests will need to provide their own linen and mattress for the travel cot.

Finding your Property
Your property is located on Overton Island which is accessed through Wakeling Island. After driving through Wakeling Island take the bridge over to Overton Island, follow the road around to the right and this property will be on your right, 'Drake's Rest.' There is plenty of parking directly outside your property for you and any guests arriving with you.
