Meadow Hare is a new, well equipped and very attractively furnished cottage that sleeps up to 6 people in 4 comfortable bedrooms. It has a large garden with a lovely outlook on and direct access to Silverlake's pretty sculpture garden, with its abundance of natural flora, fauna and wildlife.
A decked area at the rear of the house, together with BBQ and garden furniture makes this house perfect for al-fresco dining on summer nights, while a log burner means that guests can enjoy a cosy night in by the fire in the cooler months.
Whilst Meadow Hare and its immediate neighbours are fully completed, there are some properties in Shepperd’s View undergoing some construction.The prices for this property reflect this and bookings for this property are made on the understanding that you will be able to see and hear construction, machinery and workers from 0730 to 1800, Monday to Friday and 0800 to 1300 on Saturdays. Please do abide by any signage relating to construction areas. Offering direct access from the rear of the cottage to Silverlake's Sculpture Garden, Meadow Hare is a tranquil haven where guests can enjoy watching wildlife in their natural habitat from the outdoor deck or from the rear bedroom balcony.
The property sleeps up to 6 people in four bedrooms that have been furnished with a good night's sleep in mind. There are two king size bedrooms with upholstered beds featuring deep mattresses, built in wardrobes and spacious ensuite shower rooms. One of the king size bedrooms has a stunning view across the lakes and the other has an outside balcony with table and chairs. In addition, there are two single bedrooms with natural wood beds with Hypnos mattresses. These rooms have built in wardrobes and can share a family bathroom, with a shower over the bath.
The ground floor accommodation comprises an open plan kitchen/living/dining area complete with a 'real wood' log burner for cosy nights in.
The ultra-contemporary moss green kitchen includes the latest Siemens appliances including a large induction hob, 70/30 fridge/freezer, dishwasher, combi oven-microwave and full oven. A Nespresso compatible coffee machine is also available for guests' use.
The dining area includes a table that seats up to 6 people on 4 chairs and a bench. There is also a breakfast bar that offers additional seating for 2 people. The living space which is positioned nearest the patio doors, offers calming views of the garden and beyond, with comfy seating for up to 6 people around the log burner relaxing and watching TV.
A combined utility/cloakroom offers a downstairs WC, washbasin and combined washer/dryer as well as storage for coats and shoes.
Outside, there is a charcoal BBQ, two large outdoor relaxer chairs, 2 sun loungers and a picnic bench. Perfect for just chilling with a book or enjoying a meal al-fresco.
What’s Included in Your Stay
Your property is fully self‑catered and equipped to ensure you can settle in comfortably from the moment you arrive. The kitchen includes a complete set of cutlery, crockery and essential cooking items. A complimentary welcome pack will be waiting for you, offering tea, coffee, milk and a sweet treat. You will also receive a starter kitchen pack containing a bin liner, tea towel, sponge, a few dishwasher tablets and a mini washing‑up liquid.
In the bathrooms, one toilet roll per bathroom is provided to get you started. Bed linen, hand towels and bath towels are included for all guests.
For families travelling with young children, a travel cot and highchair can be supplied for £10, subject to availability. Please request these at the time of booking. Guests will need to bring their own travel cot mattress and linen. If you have any allergies, please contact our office for further guidance.

Finding your Property
After you pass through the gates into Silverlake follow the road until you see the turning on the right for Shepperd's View. Once inside the village, follow the road around the nature garden until you find Meadow Hare on your right. There is a gravel driveway directly next to the property with parking for 2 cars.
