This property offers stylish interiors, direct lake access and a large, fully enclosed south west facing garden making The Lark Ascending the perfect spot to relax.

Positioned on the water's edge with stunning direct views across the lake to woodland and the gorse covered bank opposite, families and friends can enjoy a break in this beautiful property, surrounded by nature. Spend time together cooking in the spacious kitchen area or relaxing in front of the electric flame effect fire and TV in the living space. Enjoy drinks on the terrace while watching the sun set over the lake and hills beyond with plenty of room for the children to play in the large garden.

The property has parking for 2 cars, EV charging and a large enclosed garden.  Up to 2 dogs are welcome at this property.

On the ground floor is the stunning open plan kitchen/dining and living room with large windows overlooking the deck, garden and lake beyond. The kitchen offers all mod cons with ceramic worksurfaces and high quality appliances including a large Siemens fridge/freezer, induction hob and 1.5 ovens and a Miele dishwasher. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine (small capsules) with milk frother and a microwave.  A breakfast bar area offers seating for up to 4 guests.

The living area includes luxury comfortable seating, an electric flame effect fire and a flat screen TV, while the dining area comfortably seats up to 8 people.  

Also on the ground floor is bedroom 4 with twin beds, a TV and a separate shower room and a useful boot room/utility with separate washing machine and tumble drier.  This room has separate access from the side of the property - perfect for dusting off sandy toes or dirty paws. A stairgate is provided at ground floor level.

Upstairs are three en-suite bedrooms - one king, one super king and a twin room.   

The master bedroom overlooks the garden and lake to the rear and offers a super king bed, an ensuite shower room and a large balcony with table and chairs that is accessed via sliding doors.

The second bedroom with views to the side and front has twin beds and an ensuite bathroom with hand held shower.  The third bedroom has a king size bed, ensuite shower room and a Juliette balcony with views to the front.  

Outside to the rear is a decked area and grassed gardens leading to the private jetty with steps into the lake.  On the large deck is an outdoor dining table set for 8 and a gas BBQ for guests' use.  The large, fully enclosed, south west facing garden is particularly appealing for those with young children or pets. The Weber gas barbecue is great for cooking for your party, and gas is provided by the owners (available through reception). 

What’s Included in Your Stay

Your property is fully self‑catered and equipped to ensure you can settle in comfortably from the moment you arrive. The kitchen includes a complete set of cutlery, crockery and essential cooking items. A complimentary welcome pack will be waiting for you, offering tea, coffee, milk and a sweet treat. You will also receive a starter kitchen pack containing a bin liner, tea towel, sponge, a few dishwasher tablets and a mini washing‑up liquid.

In the bathrooms, one toilet roll per bathroom is provided to get you started. Bed linen, hand towels and bath towels are included for all guests.

For families travelling with young children, a travel cot and highchair can be supplied for £10, subject to availability. Please request these at the time of booking. Guests will need to bring their own travel cot mattress and linen. If you have any allergies, please contact our office for further guidance.

A £500 refundable damage deposit applies to this booking.

Finding your Property
Drive through the second set of gates into Silverlake after entering the site; and look for a sign for Baxter's Rise and Shepperd's View on your right.  Take the second turning on your left and follow the road to the end to a small cul-de-sac.  Baxter's Rise 11 will be on your right hand side.  There is private parking for two cars at the property and the key safe is by the front door.
