Overview
Woodsford is an impressive lakeside property, furnished in a classical style with a modern twist, providing lavish comfort and space for a group of friends or family to reconnect.

 

Golf lovers, please note the Putting Green on the roof and for the less energetic; the rooftop viewing and relaxing area. The property offers spacious accommodation for 8 guests (we recommend a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children owing to the bedroom configurations), with downstairs living, ample parking and an EV charger.

The wooden floor entrance hall leads into the house with a very accessible double bedroom to your right with a large wet room and toilet directly opposite. Both have been designed to enable wheelchair access. A large utility room with a sink, washing machine, wall mounted clothes horse with further drying facilities in the fitted cupboards with ample hooks together with a full size freezer.

The open plan extremely light and spacious living area, incorporating a fully fitted kitchen with a full size fridge, oven, microwave oven, induction hob and dishwasher with breakfast bar and stools, dining table to seat 8 and a very inviting lounge area, with wood burning stove. This opens out onto an extended decking area with tranquil views of the water. 

Large open plan living with sliding full size doors opening out onto an extended decking area furnished generously for Al-fresco eating with airy views of the lake through the child-safe glass balustrade. The ground floor double bedroom and adjacent wet room, with large shower, are designed to maximise accessibility.

A fully carpeted staircase leads to the second floor. The King size Master bedroom with large en-suite shower room and balcony looking onto Wakeling Island Village. A further King Size double bedroom. Large family bathroom with overhead shower facility and kids room with bunk beds (recommended for children only). Stairs leading to a relaxing terrace and Putting Green.

Ample parking is provided for a least four cars, with a wall mounted electric vehicle charge point (type 2, 7kw) available at the property.

The decking outside the entrance holds a bike rack for four and a boot rack. The extended decking from the open plan living area is furnished generously to seat and dine ten with a charcoal BBQ. This area is child safe as is surrounded by a glass balustrade and safety gate separating the lawn running down to the water’s edge. The open air roof terrace accommodates an impressive Putting Green for Golf lovers and a relaxing/viewing area.

What’s Included in Your Stay

Your property is fully self‑catered and equipped to ensure you can settle in comfortably from the moment you arrive. The kitchen includes a complete set of cutlery, crockery and essential cooking items. A complimentary welcome pack will be waiting for you, offering tea, coffee, milk and a sweet treat. You will also receive a starter kitchen pack containing a bin liner, tea towel, sponge, a few dishwasher tablets and a mini washing‑up liquid.

In the bathrooms, one toilet roll per bathroom is provided to get you started. Bed linen, hand towels and bath towels are included for all guests.

For families travelling with young children, a travel cot and highchair can be supplied for £10, subject to availability. Please request these at the time of booking. Guests will need to bring their own travel cot mattress and linen. If you have any allergies, please contact our office for further guidance.

After you pass through the two gates into Silverlake follow the road down the hill onto Wakeling Island. Woodsford is the second house on the right with ample of parking available on the gated gravel driveway. Access to the house is from the key safe by the property's entrance.
