Overview

Ferndale House is one of Habitat Escapes’ premier properties and a fine example of Lower Mill Estate architecture at its best. Found along Nightingale Walk, where at least 19 pairs of these songbirds nest each year, the house faces south towards Swillbrook Lake and Nature Reserve with exceptional views over Swillbrook. This property is a substantial six bedroom, three storey property with vast living areas both inside and out and offers beautifully decorated interiors.

Inside you will find three double bedrooms, one twin, one bunk and child’s 2’6″ bed (with pull out trundle on request suitable for small child). Every room is a very good size and benefits from two en-suites and two family bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms are finished to a very high standard. The living area is the perfect space for large groups of families and friends wishing to spend quality time together or celebrate special occasions.

The front door opens into a specious entrance hall with direct access to the large ground floor rear deck facing south over Swillbrook where you will find a children’s playhouse. There is an under stairs cupboard housing tumble dryer and internet hub.

Bedroom with child’s 2’6″ four poster bed with pull out truckle underneath subject to request. This room is suitable for children only.

The kitchen boasts a high specification design with wine cooler, double oven with warming drawer, five ring gas burning hob, microwave, integrated larder fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is also a breakfast bar with three stools.

Next to the kitchen there is a low rise dining table and chairs for five (table mostly suitable for children) with a 50” Sony TV on the wall with Freesat and Blu-ray player.

There is a seating area with coffee table around the wood-burning stove which can accommodate six comfortably.

The main dining area is lakeside with a large extending table and seats up to 10, as well as a high chair. The open-plan lounge area is also lakeside with seating for eight and a Sony TV with Freesat and Blu-ray player.

There are large decks to each floor both at the front and rear of the property. The ground floor deck looks directly onto Swillbrook and the hedgerows where the nightingales nest.

The decks on the first floors can be directly accessed from each bedroom and there is an external spiral staircase interlinking each deck to the next.

The front and lakeside decks on the second floor each benefit from a coffee table and chairs for 4 as well as a dining table and seats for eight. There is also a BBQ.
